In June 2025, Thailand
experienced rainfall throughout most of the month due to the influence of a
moderate to rather active southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea,
Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. This was accompanied by the monsoon trough
periodically lying across the upper northern and upper northeastern parts
toward the low-pressure cell covering Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin almost the
entire month. However, the amount and distribution of rain in Thailand were
uneven, causing below-normal rainfall in most parts of the country. The average
total rainfall in Thailand for this month was approximately 1% above the norm,
with most regions reporting below-normal monthly rainfall: the northern region
received 26.0 mm (17% of the norm), the central region 55.9 mm (37%), the
eastern region 13.0 mm (5%), the southern region (east coast) 0.8 mm (1%), and the
southern region (west coast) 81.7 mm (24%), while it was inversely above norm
in the northeastern region with 40.4 mm (21%). The monthly mean temperature in
Thailand was 0.1°C above the norm. For more details were as follow.
