8 September 2025 - 14 September 2025The monsoon trough lay across the northern and upper northeastern regions in the first half of the week after that it moved southward to lie across the lower northern, central, eastern and lower northeastern regions before shifting southward to lie across the central, upper southern and eastern regions toward the low pressure-cell over the lower coast of Vietnam on the last day of the week. Additionally, the moderate southwest monsoon prevailed over the Andaman Sea, southern part and the Gulf of Thailand throughout the week. These conditions brought abundant rainfall over upper Thailand almost the week, inducing flooding in some places. In the southern region, rainfall occurred almost the entire week, mainly on the first day and the second half of the week.
Meanwhile, Typhoon “TAPAH (2516)” made landfall over Guangdong, China at 10:00 a.m. on 8 Sep. It subsequently weakened into the tropical storm and later into the tropical depression and active low-pressure cell over southern China in the evening of the same day. This storm strengthened the southwest monsoon which prevailed over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand.

Flooding continued in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, and was additionally reported in Sing Buri and Ang Thong provinces from 9-14 Sep., Suphan Buri province from 10-14 Sep., Chainat province from 11-14 Sep., Nakhon Sawan and Uthai Thani provinces from 12-14 Sep.
