During 1 – 4 Jun 2026, the rather strong southwest monsoon still prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf and the low pressure cell cover the upper bay of Bangal and Myanmar. Less rains but isolated heavy rains present in the upper country while isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the South and the East. The rather strong winds and waves in the upper Andaman Sea throughout the period. The waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
People in the country should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers throughout the period. Small boat in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore during 29 May – 4 Jun 2026.
