Weather Outlook During 19 – 25 April 202619 – 20 Apr 2026, the southerly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the Northeast, the East and the upper Gulf while hot to very hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreak of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorm, gusty wind, hail and isolated heavy rains including lightning strikes in some areas of the upper country. During 21 – 22 Apr 2026, the southerly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the Northeast and the East will weaken. Hot during the day and less isolated thundershowers are forecast in the upper country. After that, during 23 – 25 Apr 2026, another high-pressure system from China will extend to the South China Sea and the Northeast while hot to very hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreak of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorm, gusty wind and hail including lightning in the upper country. During 19 – 22 Apr 2026, the southeasterly wind which prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea will strengthen with more thundershowers. During 23 – 25 Apr 2026, the southeasterly wind which prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea will weaken with less thundershowers. The weak winds and waves still be in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea are expected about 1 meter high and above 2 meter high in thundershowers.
Caution
People in the country should keep healthy due to hot to very hot weather by avoid staying in open areas. All ships should keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
During 19 - 20 and 23 - 25 Apr 2026, people in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and animals danger.
