Weather Outlook During 20 – 26 February 2026During 21 - 22 Feb 2026, the high pressure which cover the Northeast and the South China Sea will weaken while the southerly and the southeasterly winds with moisture prevail across the upper country. Isolated thundershowers still present in the country. For the South, the easterly and southeasterly winds prevail across the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with isolated thundershowers. The moderate wind and waves in the lower Gulf are likely 1 - 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 23 – 26 Feb 2026, another high-pressure system will cover the Northeast and the South China Sea, while southerly and southeasterly winds bring moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the Northeast, the Central region, Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East. At the same time, a westerly trough will move through the North and the Northeast while hot weather occurs over the upper country. This will cause summer thunderstorms with gusty wind and hail including lightning strike are expected in the Northeast at first, then will effect on the rest regions after that hot weather will ease. For the South, the easterly and southeasterly winds prevailing across the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea is weakening with isolated thundershowers. The weakening wind and waves in the Gulf are likely about 1 meter high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Caution
During 23 – 25 Feb 2026, people in the upper country should beware of summer thunderstorms and severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and animals’ danger throughout the period.
