31 August – 6 September 2026During 31 August - 2 September 2026, the monsoon trough lie across the upper North and the upper Northeast into tropical depression over the coastal south of China while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain and isolated heavy rains are forecast in Thailand while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast and the East regions. The rather strong wind force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf, the waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 3 – 6 September 2026, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will weaken and the monsoon trough will lie across the North and the upper Northeast More rains are forecast in the country with isolated heavy rains in the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions. The rather strong winds and waves in the upper Andaman Sea will weaken. The waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. People in Thailand, beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands throughout the period. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore lasting 2 September 2026.
