14 - 20 April 2026During 14 – 15 Apr 2026, the heat low-pressure cell covers upper Thailand while the weak southerly and southwesterly winds prevail over the upper Thailand. Hot to very hot with haze during the day and isolated thundershowers are forecast in the upper country. During 16 – 20 Apr 2026, another high-pressure system from China will extend to the South China Sea leading to the southerly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the lower Northeast and the East will strengthen while hot to very hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreak of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorm, gusty wind and hail including lightning in some areas of the Northeast for the first period then the East, the eastern part of the Central and the lower North regions, respectively. For the South, during 14 – 16 Apr 2026, the westerly wind prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the upper Gulf while the southeasterly wind prevails over the lower Gulf. During 17 – 20 Apr 2026, the southeasterly wind prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea. Isolated thundershowers are forecast in the South with hot during the day. The weak winds and waves in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea are expected about 1 meter high and above 2 meter high in thundershowers.
Caution
People in the country should keep healthy due to hot to very hot weather by avoid staying in open areas and beware of severe conditions with gusty wind. All ships should keep off thundershowers throughout the period.
During 16 – 20 Apr 2026, people in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and animals danger.
