04 July 2026The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf with isolated heavy to very heavy rain. The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the wave is expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore. In addition, at 1.00 p.m., Tropical storm “MAYSAK”, over the upper Hainan Island. It was centered at latitude 20.5 degree North and longitude 107.9 degree East with maximum sustained winds speed of about 45 knots or 83 km./hr. Thie storm is moving northwest with the speed of 7 knots or 15 km./hr. It is expected to make landfall over Nanning in the south of China on 5 July 2026.
