General Situation
01 July 2026The monsoon through moves down to lie across the upper north and upper Loas into the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rain and isolated heavy rains are forecast in Thailand and isolated very heavy rains are possible in the East and the South (west coast) regions. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. The rather strong wind force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, the waves are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore. In addition, tropical depression over the middle of the South China Sea is forecast to intensify and expected to move through Hainan island and make landfall over the South of China during 4–6 July 2026 with no direct effect on Thailand.

Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Loei, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Si Sa Ket and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-25 °C. Maximum temperature 32-34 °C. Southwesterly winds 10-20 km./hr.
Central
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi. Minimum temperature 24-27 °C. Maximum temperature 32-35 °C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-26 °C. Maximum temperature 32-34°C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km./hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rain in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla. Minimum temperature 23-25 °C. Maximum temperature 32-35 °C. From Surat Thani northward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km./hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower and offshore. From Nakhon Si Thammarat southward: Southwesterly winds 15-30 km./hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Fairly widespread thundershowers and heavy to very heavy rain many areas in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun. Minimum temperature 23-24 °C. Maximum temperature 28-32 °C. From Krabi northward: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers. From Trang southward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km./hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
