General Situation
11 August 2026The monsoon trough lies across the upper North and upper Laos while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are forecast in the country. People should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. The rather strong winds force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to be 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore.

Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Lop Buri, Saraburi and Kanchanaburi. Minimum temperature 24-26 °C. Maximum temperature 32-34 °C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
Eastern
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-27 °C. Maximum temperature 30-33 °C. Southwesterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-26 °C. Maximum temperature 32-35 °C. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km./hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers and offshore.
Southern (West Coast)
Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rain in Ranong and Phang Nga. Minimum temperature 24-27 °C. Maximum temperature 31-34 °C. From Phuket northward: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km./hr. Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers. From Krabi southward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km./hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Bangkok Metropolitan
Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rain. Minimum temperature 26-27 °C. Maximum temperature 32-34 °C. Southwesterly winds 10-25 km./hr.
