General Situation
02 February 2026The moderate to rather strong high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand with a decrease in temperature and strong wind over the Northeast and the East. People should keep healthy due changeable weather and all transport should travel with caution due to poor visibility. The northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South and the Andaman Sea will strengthening with isolated thundershower. The moderate winds and waves in the lower Gulf are expected to be about 2 meters high, 1-2 meters high in the upper Gulf and offshore over the Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershower.

Surat Thani upwards : Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards : Northeasterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated light rain. Minimum temperature 22-25 °C. Maximum temperature 32-35 °C. Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore.
