General Situation
23 February 2026The high-pressure system from China extend to the South China and the upper Vietnam, is expected to cover the Northeast and the South China Sea by tomorrow ( 23 February 2026 ) leading to southerly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the Northeast, the Central region, Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East while hot weather occurs over the upper country. Outbreaks of summer storm are possible following with gusty winds and lightning are forecast in the upper country. People in the upper country should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards and keep healthy due to hot weather. Farmers should prevent for crop damage and animals danger. The easterly and southeasterly winds prevail over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with isolated thundershowers in the South. The moderate winds and waves in the lower Gulf are expected 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution.

Hot with haze during the day. Isolated thunderstorms with gusty winds mostly in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Minimum temperature 24-27 °C. Maximum temperature 32-38 °C. Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave below 1 meter, about 1 meter offshore and above 2 meters in thundershower.
Southern (East Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Minimum temperature 21-25 °C. Maximum temperature 32-37 °C. Chumphon upwards : Southeasterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 2 meters in thundershowers. Surat Thani downwards : Easterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Southern (West Coast)
Isolated thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket and, Krabi. Minimum temperature 23-25 °C. Maximum temperature 35-37 °C. Easterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and above 1 meter in thundershower and offshore
