General Situation
09 February 2026The moderate to rather strong high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand and the South China Sea with a decrease in temperaute by 1-2 °C and strong wind in the upper country. Cool to cold weather is likely in the Northeast while cool in the morning is likely in the North, the Central and the East regions. At the same time, the easterly and southeasterly winds prevail over the Central with isolated thundershowers. People in the upper country should keep healthy due changeable weather. Farmers should prevent for crop’s damage due to rains/thundershowers. The northeast monsoon prevailing over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea is strengthening with isolated thundershowers in the South. The moderate winds and waves in the lower Gulf are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf and the Andaman Sea offshore, the waves are expected 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
