Subject: Cool to cold in the
upper Thailand and Strong wind-waves in the Gulf
(Effect during 26-28 January 2025)

During 26-28
January 2025, another strong high-pressure system
from China extend to Thailand and the South China Sea with a decrease in
temperature and strong winds in a whole region. A decrease in temperature by 4-6 °C is likely in the Northeast while a
decrease in temperature by 2–4 °C is likely in the North, the Central including
Bangkok and its vicinity and the East. People in the country should keep
healthy and beware of fire due to strong winds and dry air.
The northeast
monsoon prevailing over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea will
strengthening with more rains and isolated heavy rains in the South. The
strengthening wind force the waves in the lower Gulf up to 2–3 meters high and
above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the upper Gulf, the wave about 2 meters while in the Andaman Sea, the waves are likely 1-2 meters high and
above 2 meters in thundershowers and offshore. People in the South (east coast)
should beware of heavy rains and inshore surges. All ships should proceed with
caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Gulf should keep ashore
during 27-28 January 2025.
