Subject: Heavy Rain in the South
and Strong Wind-Waves
in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea
(Effect until 18 January 2025)

From 15-18 January, the northeast monsoon will strengthen with more rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rains. People should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the foothill near waterways and lowlands.
Affected areas are as followings:
During 15-16 January 2025
South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Trang and Satun.
During 17-18 January 2025
South: Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.
The wind forces the waves in the Gulf up to 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the Andaman Sea, the waves are likely 1-2 meters high and 2-3 meters high offshore. Residents along the South (east coast) should beware of inshore surges. All ship in the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers area. Small boats in the Gulf should keep ashore during 16–18 January.
