Subject: Heavy Rain in the South
and Strong Wind-Waves
in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea
(Effect until 18 January 2025)

From 17-18 January 2025, the northeast monsoon prevailing
over the lower Gulf and the South is rather strong with
isolated heavy rains in the lower South. People in the areas should beware of
the heavy rains and accumulations that may cause flash floods and overflows,
especially along the foothill near waterways and lowlands.
Affected areas
are as followings:
On 17 January 2025
South: Pattani,
Yala and Narathiwat.
The rather
strong wind forces the waves in the lower Gulf (from
Songkhla downward) up to 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in
thundershowers. People along the Gulf shore should beware of
inshore surges. All ship in the lower Gulf and the Andaman Sea should proceed
with caution and keep off thundershowers area, small boats in the lower Gulf
should keep ashore lasting 18 January 2025.
