Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand and strong wind in the Andaman Sea
No.10 (214/2026)

During 19 - 20 September 2026, isolated heavy is possible in the country while isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the Central and the Southern region.
The high-pressure system from China extends to the upper North and the upper Northeast of Thailand. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough lies across Central, the upper South and the Eastern region with the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf.
People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
The rather strong winds and waves in the Andaman Sea are expected 2 - 3 meters and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boat in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore during 19 – 20 September 2026.
