Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand and strong wind in the Andaman Sea

On 20 September 2026, the
high-pressure system from China covers the upper North and the upper Northeast
of Thailand. Meanwhile, the monsoon trough
lies across the lower Central, the upper South and the East regions with the
rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and
the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are
forecast in the country, especially in the lower Central, including
Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East region.
People
in the country should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause
flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near
foothills and lowlands.
The
rather strong winds and waves in the Andaman Sea are expected 2 - 3 meters and
above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution
and keep off thundershowers. Small boat in the upper Andaman Sea should keep
ashore lasting 20 September 2026.
