Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
and Strong wind-waves in the upper Andaman Sea
(Effect during 11-13 July 2025)

During 11-13 July 2025, the monsoon through lies across upper Myanmar, the upper North, the upper Northeast of Thailand and upper Vietnam while the low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam will move through the monsoon trough. At the same time, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening. More rains and isolated heavy rains are likely in Thailand while isolated very heavy rains are possible in the North and the upper Northeast regions. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
Affected areas are as follows:
On 11 July 2025
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Tak, Sukhothai, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loey, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, and Ubon Ratchathani.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Yala, Narathiwat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, and Krabi.
On 12 July 2025
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udonthani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya and Kanchanaburi including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
South: Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang, and Satun.
On 13 July 2025
North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Tak, Phichit,
Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Lopburi, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, and Kanchanaburi including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, and Krabi.
The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea, the wave are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore.
