Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
No.2 (129/2026)

During 26–30 July 2026, the monsoon
trough will lie across Myanmar, Laos and upper Vietnam while the strengthening southwest
monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy
rains are forecast in Thailand and isolated very heavy rains are possible in
the East and the South (west coast) regions. People should beware of heavy to
very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and
landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
The rather
strong wind force the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to be 2–3 meters high
and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea and the upper
Gulf, the wave are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in
thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with
caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea
should keep ashore.
In addition, tropical
storm “NOUL” over northeastern Philippines is expected to move pass upper
Philippines through the upper South China Sea by today (24 July 2026). After
that during 25-26 July 2026,
It is forecast to make landfall over Guangdong, China. This storm is forecast
to not move to Thailand. The travelers should check the weather forecast for
the region you're going to be visiting.
