Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand

During
24 –
27 September 2026, an active low-pressure cell over Cambodia
is expected to move to cover the lower Northeast, the East, the Central
including Bangkok and vicinity along the monsoon trough lies across upper
Thailand. Meanwhile the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the
South and the Gulf is strengthening. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are
likely over the country especially in the North, the lower Northeast, the
Central including Bangkok and vicinity, the East and the South regions.
People
in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that
may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways
near foothills and lowlands.
The
strengthening winds forces the wave in the upper Gulf and the upper Andaman Sea
up to be 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf
and the lower Andaman Sea, the waves are likely about 2 meters high and above 2
meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep
off thundershowers, small boat in the upper Gulf and the upper Andaman Sea keep
ashore lasting 27 September 2026.
