Subject: Heavy to very heavy Rain in Thailand
Strong wind-waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf
(Effect during 19-24 July 2025)

During 19–24 Jul, the monsoon through will lie across the upper North of Thailand upper Laos and upper Vietnam. Meanwhile, the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf with more rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Thailand. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
The rather strong wind forces the waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf, the wave are expected 1-2 meters high, about 2 meters high offshore and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore.
In addition, the tropical depression over eastern Philippines is forecast to intensify into the tropical storm. It is forecast to move pass upper Philippines into the upper South China Sea during 19 - 22 Jul, leading to the moderate southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen.
