Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in upper Thailand
No.2 (182/2026)

During 4–7 September 2026, the monsoon trough will lie across the North and the upper Northeast while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are forecast in Thailand especially in the North and the Northeast regions. People in the upper country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
In addition, tropical storm “SAUDEL” over the upper South China Sea is forecast to move closer to the coast of Southern China during 3-5 September 2026 and it will downgrade to tropical depression, respectively. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling. This storm is not move to Thailand.
