Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rains in Thailand
No.9 (255/2026)

During 11-13 October 2026, variable weather is expected in Thailand with the present of thundershowers, gusty wind hail and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in some places including lightning strike. The effect will occur in many parts as follow:
- On 11 October 2026, the lower part of the North, the Central, including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South.
- On 12 October 2026, the South.
- On 13 October 2026, the South.
Because of the high pressure system from China extends to cover upper Thailand while the easterly wind and the southeasterly wind prevails over the Northeast, the East and the Gulf with the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea. Meanwhile the monsoon trough lies across the upper South.
People in the country should beware of thundershowers, gusty wind, and heavy to very heavy rains and accumulated rains that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. In addition, people should avoid staying in open areas, under large trees, or near unstable billboards.
The winds force the wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf up to above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
