Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rains in the South

(Effect during 3 - 4 Apr 2025)

During 3 – 4 Apr 2025, the easterly wave move pass the South and the Andaman Sea with isolated heavy rains in the South. People in the south should beware of heavy rains that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.

Affected areas are as followings 

On 3 April 2025 

South: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat,

                        Phatthalung, Songkhla, Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.

On 4 April 2025 

South: Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat Phatthalung, Songkhla, Phang Nga, Phuket, 

                                    Krabi, Trang and Satun.

The moderate wind and the waves in the Gulf up to about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.

   This advisory is in effect on 3 April 2025, at 05.00 p.m.
