Subject: Severe Tropical Storm “TRAMI”
No.1 (234/2024)
At 1.00 p.m. LST (24 Octorber 2024), the severe tropical storm “TRAMI” over the upper South China Sea was due at latitude 17.2 degrees north and longitude 120.1 degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 85 km/hr. This storm was moving west at a speed of 10 km/hr. It is expected to move the middle coast of Vietnam during 26 – 28 Oct Thundershowers will increase in the country with isolated heavy rains in the east of Northeast, the Central, the East and the South in this period. The wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will strengthen. The waves are about 2 meters high in the Andaman Sea, 1-2 meters in the Gulf and above 2 meters in thundershowers. After that, the storm will change direction to the upper South China Sea.
This advisory is in effect on 24 Octorber 2024, at 5.00 p.m.
