Subject: Severe tropical storm “WUTIP” over the Gulf of Tonkin
No.13 (147/2025)

At 10.00 a.m. LST (13 June 2025), the severe tropical storm “WUTIP” over the Gulf of Tonkin was centered about 60 km. west of Hinan Island or at latitude 18.6 °N, longitude 108.1 °E. With maximum sustained winds about 110 km/hr. This storm was moving north-northwest about 18 km/hr., is expected to make landfall over southern China on 14 June 2025. It is likely to downgrade to tropical depression and an active-low pressure cell, respectively. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling. This storm will not move to Thailand but induce the southwest monsoon which prevail across Thailand to be more strength. More rains and heavy rain will present in the eastern part of the Northeast region. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be moderate.
