Subject: Severe Tropical Storm “WUTIP” over the Gulf of Tonkin
No.17 (151/2025)

At 10.00 a.m. LST (14 June 2025), the severe tropical storm “WUTIP” over the Gulf of Tonkin was centered about 30 km. north of Hinan Island or at latitude 20.6 °N, longitude 109.2 °E. With maximum sustained winds about 110 km/hr. This storm was moving north-northeast at a speed of 10 km./hr., is expected to make landfall over Guangdong, China by today (14 June 2025). It is likely to downgrade to tropical depression and an active-low pressure cell, respectively. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling. This storm will not move to Thailand but induce the southwest monsoon which prevail across Thailand to be more strength. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the eastern part of the Northeast region. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be moderate.
