Subject: Severe Tropical Storm “WUTIP” over the Gulf of Tonkin
No.18 (152/2025)

At 01.00 p.m. LST (14 June 2025), the severe tropical storm “WUTIP” has made landfall over Guangdong, China and at 04.00 p.m., was centered at Guangxi, China or at latitude 21.9 °N, longitude 110.0 °E. With maximum sustained winds about 100 km/hr. This storm was moving northeast at a speed of 20 km./hr. It is expected to downgrade to the tropical depression and an active-low pressure cell, respectively. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling. This storm will not move to Thailand but induce the moderate southwest monsoon prevail across Thailand. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the eastern part of the Northeast region. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be moderate.
