Subject: Severe Tropical Storm “YAGI”

At 10.00
p.m. LST (7 September 2024), the typhoon “YAGI” Over the southern of Hanoi,
Vietnam
or at latitude 21.0 degrees north and longitude 105.9
degrees east. With maximum sustained winds about 139 km./hr.
This storm was moving west at speed of 15 km./hr. Isolated
heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the North and the upper Northeast during
7-8
September 2024.
The
rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and
the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are likely in the country while isolated very
heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the east and the South
(west coast). People in the areas should beware of heavy to very heavy rains
and accumulations that may cause flash flood and overflows, especially along
foothills near waterways and lowlands. The rather strong wind force the waves
in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are likely

meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf, the
waves have
1-2
meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers and offshore. All
ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in
the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore lasting 8 September 2024.
