Subject: Storm “BUALOI”
and heavy to very heavy rain in upper Thailand
No.1 (262/2025)

At 07.00 p.m. LST (26 September
2025), severe tropical storm “BUALOI” has moved into the South China Sea, at
10.00 p.m., it was centered at latitude 12.9 degrees north
and longitude 119.5 degrees east with maximum sustained winds about 110 km./hr. This storm is moving west with
a speed of 30 km/hr., expected to move along the coast of Vietnam and make
landfall over upper Vietnam during 28 – 29 September 2025. Storm “BUALOI” is
forecast to downgrade respectively.
The
storm “BUALOI” effects to the active monsoon through will lie across the lower North,
the upper Central and the Northeast and southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman
Sea, Thailand and the Gulf becomes rather strong. Heavy rain are likely in many
places over the upper country with isolated very heavy rain in the North, the
Northeast and the East during 28-30 September
2025. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rain and
accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the
waterways near foothills and lowlands. The wind force waves in the upper
Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in
thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with caution. Small
boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore during 28 – 30 September 2025.
