Subject: Storm “KAJIKI”
and heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand
No.16 (219/2025)

At 07.00 a.m. LST (26 August
2025), the tropical storm “KAJIKI” was down to the Depression
over Xaisomboun province, Laos. It was due 120 km north of Nan Province or
at latitude 19.0 degrees north and longitude 102.5 degrees north with maximum
sustained winds about 55 km./hr. This
storm is moving northwestward with a speed of 10 km/hr. The storm is expected
downgrade to active low-pressure cell respectively. Finally, it will move to cover
Nan, Thailand by today, causing isolated heavy to very heavy rain and strong
winds over the North and the upper Northeast of Thailand during 26–27
August 2025. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rain,
strong wind and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows
especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.

Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit, and Phetchabun
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng
Kan, Nong Bua Lam Phu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon
Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, and Kalasin.
Central: Nakhon
Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lopburi, Saraburi, and Kanchanaburi.
East: Nakhon
Nayok, Prachin Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi,
Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ranong, Phangnga, and Phuket.

The rather
strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to
2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should
proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman
Sea and the upper Gulf should keep ashore. People along the coast of the East
and the upper South west coast should beware of storm surge.
