Subject: Storm “KOTO”
And cool to cold in Thailand

2025)

At 4:00 p.m. LST
(26 November 2025), storm “KOTO” over the middle South China Sea. over the
South China Sea was centered at latitude 12.3 degrees
north and longitude 115.7 degrees east with maximum
sustained winds about 102 km/hr. This storm is moving west-northwest
with a speed of 20 km/hr., This storm is expected to
intensify and move to near the coast of lower Vietnam during 26–29 Nov while
the high-pressure system covers Vietnam and the South China Sea. This storm
will decline rapidly and not move to Thailand but leading to the northeasterly
wind prevailing over upper Thailand will strengthen.
The another rather strong
high-pressure system from China extend to upper Thailand, the upper South and
the South China Sea with a decrease in temperature and strong winds. Cool to
cold weather, a decrease in temperature by 4-7 °C in the Northeast while cool
is forecast in the North, the Central, the East, Bangkok including its vicinity
and the upper South a decrease in
temperature by 2-4 °C. On mountains of the
North and the Northeast, cool to very cold is forecast and minimum temperature
3-12 °C. People in the upper country should keep healthy due to the
changeable weather and beware of fire due to dry air. All transports take more
caution in poor visibility.
The moderate wind and wave in the Gulf
and offshore the Andaman Sea are
expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. People
along the Gulf shore should beware of inshore surges. All
ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
