Subject: Storm “KOTO”
And cool to cold in Thailand
(Effect until 27-30 November 2025)

At 4:00 p.m. LST (27 November 2025), typhoon “KOTO” over the middle South China Sea was centered at latitude 13.3 degrees north and longitude 113.1 degrees east with maximum sustained winds about 140 km/hr. This storm is moving west slowly. This storm is expected to move near the coast of Vietnam while the high-pressure system covers Vietnam and the upper South China Sea. This storm will decline rapidly and not move to Thailand.
The rather strong high-pressure system from China extends to upper Thailand, the upper South and the South China Sea with cool to cold weather and strong winds. A decrease in temperature by 3-5 °C is forecast in the Northeast while a decrease in temperature by 2-4 °C is forecast in the North, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the upper South. On mountains of the North and the Northeast, cold to very cold and isolated frost are forecast. The minimum temperature of the North mountaintops is in range of 1-8 °C while the Northeast ranges by 6-13 °C. People in the upper country and the upper South should keep healthy due to the cool to cold weather and beware of fire due to dry air and strong wind.
The moderate wind and wave in the Gulf and the Andaman Sea offshore are expected about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
