Subject: Storm “MATMO”

No.15 (291/2025)

            At 1.00 a.m. LST (7 October 2025), tropical depression “MATMO” was downgraded to active low pressure cell over upper Vietnam.

            The storm “MATMO” effects to the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen. Isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South. People in the areas should beware of heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.

The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected 1-2 meters high and above   2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.

This final advisory is in effect on 7 October 2025, at 05.00 a.m.
