Subject: Summer Thunderstorm in the upper Thailand
(Effect during 29 Mar – 1 Apr 2025)

During 29 Mar – 1 Apr, the weak high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Laos, upper Vietnam and the South China Sea leading to the easterly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the upper country where hot to very hot weather occurs. Outbreaks of summer storms are possible following with thunderstorms, gusty wind and hail including lightning strike are likely in some areas of the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity and the East regions.
People in the upper country should keep healthy due to changeable weather and beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards and farmers should prevent for crops damage and animals danger.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 29 March 2025
North: Phichit, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen,
Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Lopburi and Saraburi.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
On 30 March 2025
North: Tak, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Phichit,
Phitsanulok and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon,
Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Mukdahan, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Lopburi, Saraburi, Singburi, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong,
Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
On 31 March – 1 April 2025
North: Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Tak and Kamphaeng Phet.
Central: Suphan Buri, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram including Bangkok and its vicinity.
South: Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan.
