Subject: Tropical storm “MAN-YI”
No.10 (300/2024)
At 7.00 a.m. LST (20 November 2024), the tropical storm “MAN-YI” has weakened to tropical depression and at 10.00 a.m., This storm has already downgraded to the low pressure cell over the upper South China Sea.
During 20-23 November 2024, the strengthening northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf, the South and the Andaman Sea with more rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Isolated heavy rains in Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang and Satun. People in the South should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially in the foothills near the waterways and the lowland areas. The strengthening wind force the waves in the gulf and the Andaman Sea. The waves in the lower Gulf up to about 2 meters high, 1-2 meters in the upper gulf and about 1 meter in the Andaman Sea, 1-2 meters high offshore and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
