Subject: Tropical storm “WUTIP” over the upper South China Sea
No.5 (139/2025)

At 7.00 a.m. LST (11 June 2025), the tropical depression over the upper South China Sea was intensified to the tropical storm “WUTIP” and at 11.00 a.m. LST, it was due about 385 km. south of Hinan Island or at latitude 16.5 °N, longitude 113.2 °E. with maximum sustained winds about 65 km./hr. This storm is moving west-northwest at a speed of 15 km./hr. It is expected to move through Hainan and make landfall over southern China during 13–16 June 2025. It is likely to downgrade to tropical depression and an active-low pressure cell, respectively. The travelers should check the weather conditions before traveling. This storm will not move to Thailand but induce the southwest monsoon which prevail across Thailand to be more strength. More rains and heavy rain will present in the eastern part of the Northeast region. The waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will be strengthen.
