Subject: Variable weather in upper Thailand, Heavy rainfall
in the South and strong wind-waves over the lower Gulf
(Effect lasting 25 February 2025)

The moderate to rather strong high-pressure system covers the Northeast and the South China Sea leading to the southerly and southeasterly winds bring the moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf to the upper country. Meanwhile, the westerly trough from Myanmar move pass the North, the Northeast and upper Laos. Thunderstorms, gusty wind and lightning strike are likely in some areas of the North and the Northeast. People in these areas should beware of severe conditions by keeping off outdoor places, big trees and unsecured billboards and farmers should prevent for crops damage and animals danger.
Scattered heavy rains and isolated very heavy rains are likely in the South. The rather strong wind force the wave in the lower Gulf up to 2–3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. People in the South beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulations that may be flashing floods and overflows. All ships in the Gulf and Andaman Sea should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers area, small boats in the lower Gulf keep ashore.

South: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.
