Variable Weather in Upper Thailand
No.11 (245/2026)

During
6-7 October
2026,
variable weather is expected in upper Thailand with the present of
thundershowers, gusty wind hail and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in some places.
The effect will occur in many parts as follow:
- On
6 October 2026, the North, the Central including Bangkok and vicinity, the
East and
the
South regions while less rains in the Northeast.
- On
7 October 2026, the western part of the North and the Central regions
including the South.
Because
of the high pressure system from China extends to cover the North, the
Northeast and the upper Central regions with the easterly wind and the
southeasterly wind prevails over the upper country while the southwest monsoon
prevailing across the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf.
People
in the country should beware of thundershowers, gusty wind, heavy rains and
accumulated rains that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides
especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. In addition, people
should avoid staying in open areas, under large trees, or near unstable
billboards.
The
strengthened winds force the wave in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf up to above 2
meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep
off thundershowers.
After
that, during 9-13 October 2026, more
rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rains are forecast in the East, the
Central including Bangkok and vicinity and the South. The public is advised to stay
tuned for the weather update.
The advisory is in effect on 6
October 2026, at 5.00 p.m.
