Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
(Effect until 27 May 2025)

During 26-27 May 2025, the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf, while the monsoon through will lies across upper Thailand and the upper South. Isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in the country. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands and should keep healthy due to the variable weather. Farmers should prepare by improving drainage systems in their agricultural areas to mitigate the potential impacts and damage to crops and livestock.
Affected areas are as follows:

North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit, and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Khai, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Kalasin,
Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram,
Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Saraburi,
Suphan Buri, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram and Samut Sakhon including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
South: Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Ranong, Phang Nga,
Phuket and Krabi.

Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Lop Buri, Saraburi,

The rather strong wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to about 2 meters high while 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore.
