Subject: Heavy to Very Heavy Rain in Thailand
(Effect during 23-27 May 2025)

During 23-27 May 2025, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf will strengthen while the monsoon through will lie across upper Thailand and the upper South region. More rains and isolated heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Thailand. People in the country should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods, overflows and landslides especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands, and should keep healthy due to the variable weather. Farmers should prepare by improving drainage systems in their agricultural areas to mitigate the potential impacts and damage to crops and livestock.

North: Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phayao, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit, and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Maha Sarakham, Kalasin, Roi Et, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Sing Buri, Lop Buri, Ang Thong, Saraburi, Suphan Buri, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Songkhram, and Samut Sakhon Provinces, including Bangkok and its vicinity.

The strengthening wind forces the waves in the upper Andaman Sea up to about 2 meters high while 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the upper Andaman Sea should keep ashore.
