Subject: Summer Storm in upper Thailand
No. 9 (110/2023)
The moderate high-pressure system extended to the Northeast and the South China Sea with the southerly and the southeasterly winds prevail over the upper country where hot to very hot weather occurs. Outbreak of summer storms, gusty winds, hail and thunder will be in the upper country. People in the upper country should beware of the severe condition by keeping off open-air, big trees and unsecured billboards. Avoid wearing metal decorations and using cell phone in thunderstorm. Farmers should prevent for crop and livestock damage.
Affected areas are as followings:
On 16 April 2023
North: Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Phichit and Phetchabun.
Northeast: Loei, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.
Central: Nakhon Sawan, Kanchanaburi, Lop Buri, Saraburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, including Bangkok and its vicinity.
East: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.
(Upper country consist of the North, the Northeast, the Central and Bangkok metropolis and the East)
