Subject: Storm “KALMAEGI”
and heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand
No.3 (323/2025)

At 04.00
p.m. LST (5 November 2025), typhoon “KALMAEGI” over the South China Sea was
centered at latitude 12.0 degrees north and longitude 117.3 degrees east with
maximum sustained winds about 139 km/hr.
This storm is moving west-northwest with a speed of 14 km/hr., expected to
make landfall over middle Vietnam during 6–7 November 2025. Storm “KALMAEGI” is
forecast to downgrade to tropical storm and tropical depression moving pass
Laos. It is forecast to move into Ubon Ratchathani,
Thailand on 7 November 2025 before weakening to active low pressure cell,
respectively.
The
storm “KALMAEGI” effects the upper country with more rain and isolated heavy to
very heavy rains will occur in the Northeast, the East, the Central including
Bangkok and vicinity and the North respectively during 7-9 November 2025. People in the areas should beware of heavy to
very heavy rains and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows
especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands. Farmers should
prevent for crop damage.
The
wind force waves in the Andaman Sea up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters
high in thundershowers. All ships in the Andaman Sea should proceed with
caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea should keep
ashore during 6–7 November 2025.
