Subject: Storm “BUALOI”
and heavy to very heavy rain in Thailand
No.14 (275/2025)

At 01.00 a.m. LST (30 September 2025), Tropical depression “BUALOI” was downgraded to an active low-pressure cell over Luang Namtha, Laos. At 04.00 a.m., Active low-pressure cell covers upper Myanmar and upper Laos. It is forecast to move through the monsoon trough that lie across over upper Myanmar and the upper North of Thailand by today (30 September 2025).
The storm “BUALOI” effects to the strong monsoon through lies across upper Myanmar and the upper North of Thailand while the rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rain is likely in the country. People in the country should beware of heavy rain and accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands.
The rather strong wind force waves in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf up to 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Andaman Sea, the waves are likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore lasting 30 September 2025.
