Subject: Storm “MAYSAK”

At 01.00 a.m. LST (6 July 2026), tropical
storm “MAYSAK” has downgraded to tropical depression. At 04.00 a.m., it was
centered at Guangxi China or at latitude 25.0
degrees north and longitude 109.0 degrees east with maximum sustained winds
speed of about 50
km/hr. This storm is moving north-northeast at
a speed of 10 km./hr. It is expected
to downgrade to the active-low pressure cell and dissipate over the south of China.
The effect of storm “MAYSAK” with the monsoon
trough lying across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam while the moderate southwest
monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf Isolated very heavy rain remains in the North and the
upper Northeast with heavy rain in some places of the Central and the East
while isolated rain is expected in the South.
The moderate wind and the wave prevails over
the Andaman Sea and the Gulf. The wind and wave over the upper Andaman Sea and
the upper Gulf are likely about 2 meters high, 1–2 meters high in the lower
Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed
with caution and keep off thundershowers.
